Here is some industrial from down under. Deader is an electro-industrial duo from Melbourne.They seem to draw inspiration from many different sources. There are dark pads, harsh vocals and pounding bass lines.

Switched On Rack Vol. 1

This is a compilation to show of the abilities of VCV Rack, a VST that emulates a modular synthesizer. As such it is a bit of a failure as most tracks are ambient. It would have been more interesting if it would have covered other genres as well, but it's a free download from Bandcamp.

Provoked: The Provocateur Remixes

This is a remix album where different artists makes remixes of the tracks from the Provocateur album. The cover makes it look a lot harder than it is. It's not that it's bad, they are not. But most are rather bland and almost mainstream. It would be nice to have a bit more variety and some tracks with more dirt and attitude.

NAR-Goth'N'Tronic-Metal'N'Rock Sommer-Sampler Vol.9

Another on in the series of compilations with the tricky name from the German label Workers Welt. The title promises goth and electronic, metal and rock and it manages quite well with delivering it too. A bit more electronic than the others, but still quite good width.

There's a Lot of Industrial on This Compilation

The title of this compilation from Brutal Resonance don't lie. There is a lot of industrial on this massive 75 track release. Not all of it is industrial. You also get synthpop, witch house, ambient et.c. but there is a lot of industrial. There are also several tracks that are industrial metal/rock and that's a nice touch.

Fractal Age from Germany combines EBM and industrial sounds with pads and synthpop style singing it actually works.

A ten track album with reverb drenched gothic goodness.It has a very old school sound that I like. Well worth a download if you like the more traditional goth sound.

Tankard Haus - Stalkers

Tankard Haus is a group from Birmingham that defines themselves as dark electro, but it's a bit heavier than your standard dark electro. The music draws from many different genres such as industrial, synthpop and even some chiptune and the vocals are impressing with a bit of goth touch.

Standard Issue Citizen is an industrial band from the steel town of Pittsburgh. I don't know how much that affects the music, but it's an interesting blend of machines and humans.

Kælan Mikla - Demos

Kælan Mikla describes themselves as a synth-punk trio from Iceland. I may have a different definition of the genre so I would instead describe them as something like post-punk and darkwave, but it's not easy to pigeon-hole them. The music is dark and full of atmosphere with a punching beat and vocals that gives me goosebumps.

Here is an interesting release if you want something out of the ordinary. Larry Birth draws from several different genres and lets them crash into a noisy, in your face blend.

Luck of the Industrial

Another monthly compilation from Brutal Resonance. This time it's ten tracks, but the total running length is still high due to many of the tracks being very long. Two of the tracks are over ten minutes long and five are over six minutes. In my opinion this is the weakest release in the series, but then I'm not a big fan of noise (as a genre).
